The AI Receptionist
Your Dental Practice Deserves
Every call answered. Every appointment booked. Every emergency triaged. A managed AI phone system built on Telnyx and ElevenLabs that sounds human, integrates with your practice management system, and never takes a sick day.
What a $200/mo AI Receptionist Actually Does
Six jobs your front desk is doing today - handled in parallel, 24/7, for less than a week of a part-time receptionist's salary.
Answers Every Call
24/7 pickup, sub-700ms latency, natural conversation. No voicemail, no after-hours gaps, no lost new patients.
Books Appointments
Books straight into DentalOps, or into Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, and Curve Dental via their booking API or a shared calendar where available. Appointments land on your schedule.
Triages Emergencies
Recognizes dental emergency keywords and warm-transfers to your on-call provider. Configurable escalation rules per practice.
Answers FAQ
Hours, address, accepted insurances, new-patient intake. Trained on your practice specifics, not generic dental copy.
Daily Summary Email
Every morning: what calls came in, what was booked, what was escalated, which numbers to follow up with.
HIPAA-Compliant by Design
HIPAA-ready by design: encrypted recordings, minimum-necessary PHI, access logging, and BAAs executed for your deployment. Built by a CISSP/CISM.
The Math Works Fast
On industry-average numbers, a single recovered new patient covers several months of service, so payback typically lands within the first few weeks.
Average new-patient value (first visit)
Hygiene + comprehensive exam + one X-ray series. Typical US average for a general practice.
Lifetime value of a retained patient
5-year average at ~$600/year in production. Higher for restorative or cosmetic-heavy practices.
Calls that go unanswered during business hours
Front desk is with a patient, on another line, or at lunch. Every missed new-patient call is $400+ walking.
Typical payback period
At $400 average new-patient value, one recovered call covers setup plus the first couple of months of service. After that, every call is upside.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the Voice AI Kit?
The Voice AI Kit ($497 one-time) is a do-it-yourself deployment for developers - you run it, you own the Telnyx/ElevenLabs accounts, you handle updates. AI Receptionist for Dental is a managed service: we run it, we own the carrier relationships, and your practice pays $500 setup + $200/mo. No technical lift on your side.
What does it actually do?
Answers every inbound call 24/7. Books new-patient appointments into your schedule, handles routine questions (hours, location, insurance accepted), and triages emergencies to the on-call provider. Sends transcripts and a daily summary email. HIPAA-ready, with a BAA covering your deployment.
What practice management systems does it integrate with?
Directly with DentalOps AI, our own platform. For Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, and others we connect through their booking API or a shared calendar where one is available. Book a call and we will confirm exactly what is possible for your system.
Will it sound like a robot?
No. We use ElevenLabs voices with sub-700ms response latency, fast enough that the conversation feels natural rather than stilted. Each practice picks its own voice from a curated set, and we can clone your existing front-desk voice if you want (with their permission).
What happens if the AI cannot handle a call?
Automatic warm transfer to your front desk during business hours, or to a configured backup number after hours. Every call that transfers is logged with the reason, so you can see what the AI chose to escalate.
Is this HIPAA compliant?
The architecture is HIPAA-ready: call recordings are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), transcripts use minimum-necessary PHI, and access is logged. We execute the required BAAs (Telnyx, ElevenLabs enterprise, and our own infrastructure) as part of standing up your deployment. Built by a CISSP and CISM certified engineer.
What is included in the $500 setup?
Provisioning a dedicated number (or porting yours), configuring the voice, writing the practice-specific system prompt, connecting it to your scheduling system, testing against 20+ common call scenarios, and a 30-minute team training. We target go-live within 5 business days.
What is included in the $200/mo?
Up to 500 voice minutes, carrier fees, hosting, monitoring, daily summary emails, and monthly performance report. Overage is $0.20/min (rare - average dental practice uses ~300 minutes/mo).
